63 Toby Halligan: The Bad Gay Makes Good
Toby Halligan explains a very personal contribution to the queer community. Toby is a writer, broadcaster, and comedian. He's written for Mad As Hell, the Weekly, the Project, and Legally Brown, and his writing has appeared in the Monthly, Junkee, and the Age. He runs Australia's longest running political comedy night, Political Asylum. He loves his partner Tom, and they have a greyhound called Banjo. Banjo likes chicken and has a soft, wet nose and Toby and Tom love him, but not in a Cory Bernardi kind of way. Queerstories is an LGBTQIA+ storytelling night programmed by Maeve Marsden, with regular events in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. For Queerstories event dates, visit www.maevemarsden.com, and follow Queerstories on Facebook. The new Queerstories book is published by Hachette Australia, and can be pre-ordered on Booktopia.
